Oregano Essential Oil is a potent, intensely aromatic oil with a rich, herbal scent. It’s strong and should be used thoughtfully. Oregano oil is often used in diffusion blends for deep, earthy aroma and can be diluted in a carrier oil for topical use when you want a warming herbal addition to your routine.
-
Aromatic
Diffusing oregano oil can create a bold, herbal atmosphere. Use 1–2 drops in your favorite diffuser blended with lighter essential oils if desired. Because it’s strong, start with fewer drops and adjust to your scent preference.
-
Topical
Oregano oil is highly concentrated and must be diluted before applying to skin. Dilute to no more than 1–2% in a carrier oil — about 6–12 drops of oregano oil per ounce (30 mL) of carrier. Apply the diluted blend to the desired area, and avoid sensitive regions like the face unless properly diluted.
Warning: For external use only. Oregano oil is very strong and can cause irritation if not properly diluted. Avoid contact with eyes. Perform a patch test before first use and discontinue if irritation occurs. Keep out of reach of children and pets.
