Citronella Essential Oil has a fresh, lemony, uplifting aroma that’s commonly used to help repel flying insects when diffused and to create a bright, uplifting environment at home. When properly diluted in a carrier oil, it can also be part of soothing blends for skin comfort and calming dry or irritated areas.
-
Repel insects and uplift the air
Diffuse citronella essential oil with about 3–5 drops per 100 mL of water in your favorite diffuser to help chase away flying insects and fill your space with a fresh, uplifting scent. Its bright aroma is often used in outdoor and indoor diffusing to create a refreshing atmosphere.

Soothing topical blends
For topical use, always dilute citronella essential oil in a carrier oil. A typical dilution is up to 1–2% — roughly 6–12 drops of citronella oil per ounce (30 mL) of carrier. Apply the diluted blend to clean skin to help soothe dry or mildly irritated areas as part of your body care routine.
Warning: For external use only. Citronella essential oil must be diluted before applying to the skin. Avoid contact with eyes and sensitive areas. Perform a patch test before first use and discontinue if irritation occurs. Keep out of reach of children and pets.
