This Bergamot Essential Oil is the third product I've received from Handcraft Blends, and just like the other products I've tried from this company, it is high quality at a decent price. This oil comes well-packaged in a dark amber bottle with a safety sealed cap. As soon as first opened it, an invigorating, sweet citrusy scent wafted out of the bottle. The oil is slightly colored, which suggests that it was likely produced via the cold press method, which is arguably the best method for extracting citrus oils. Because it is safe to use on skin when properly diluted, I like to use this for handmade bath products such as bath bombs and sugar scrubs. Bergamot can cause photosensitivity, so it's important to cover or protect skin after using it. It is also lovely when diffused, but since I have pets and children in my home, I have to be careful. Citrus oils can be toxic to pets, so I can only diffuse it in my bedroom, which is off-limits to my pets. Overall, I'd recommend this. It is a great uplifting oil which can be blended with other oils to create a unique, refreshing fragrance.
