Its fresh aroma is great for uplifting aromatherapy routines, and it’s often used in homemade cleaning blends to help create a bright, invigorating environment. When used topically, always dilute it in a carrier oil.

  1. Aromatic

    Diffuse lemon essential oil using about 3–5 drops per 100 mL of water to fill your space with a fresh, lively citrus scent. It blends nicely with floral or herbal oils in diffusers, reed diffusers, or DIY room sprays for a clean home atmosphere.

  2. Fresh home and cleaning use

    Add a few drops of lemon essential oil to DIY household cleaners or spritz blends to enjoy its crisp aroma while cleaning. The refreshing scent works well on surfaces, in spray bottles with water and a mild cleaner, or in cotton sachets placed around the home.

  3. Topical (when diluted)

    For topical use, always dilute lemon essential oil in a carrier oil. A general guideline is up to 1–2% — about 6–12 drops of lemon oil per ounce (30 mL) of carrier. Apply the diluted blend to clean skin for a light, refreshing touch.

Warning: For external use only. Lemon essential oil must be diluted before applying to the skin. Citrus oils may increase sensitivity to sunlight; avoid direct sun exposure on treated areas. Avoid contact with eyes. Perform a patch test before first use and discontinue if irritation occurs. Keep out of reach of children and pets.
